I’ve often found myself on the brink of giving up, overwhelmed by life’s challenges.
You see, I’m not a very resilient person… When the going gets tough, I go to sleep. This has not been a very good coping mechanism for me through the years. I have found myself lagging behind my potential.
As I’ve grown older though, I’ve slowly realized how precious time can be. I can’t just not do things when I don’t feel like it. That is why, hard as it may be, I push myself to do things even when most days I just want to give up.
It’s not easy, but I’m trying. In fact, I created a motivational blog just to hold myself accountable. And as for staying motivated, here is some of the practical advice I tell myself to keep me motivated day by day.
1. Remember Your “Why”
When you’re feeling down, remind yourself why you started in the first place. Your initial reason can be a powerful motivator. Whether it’s a personal goal, a promise to someone, or a dream you’re passionate about, reconnecting with your purpose can reignite your drive. Write it down, keep it visible, and let it serve as a constant reminder.
